God has blessed Augusta Road United Methodist Church in so many ways these past few years. As we worship God and seek His Will, we have seen the growth of many new programs and activities for the benefit of our entire community.
This is a real community church, attended by your neighbors and the people your children see at school every day. Our church is a relaxed atmosphere where everyone of any background is welcome. You can come just as you are. Our worship is a blend of contemporary and traditional styles. We sing and praise God to the sounds of excellent and upbeat music. We also understand how to kneel quietly in meditation and prayer at the altar. Always, the Word of God is taught as a practical way to live your life.
Among our various programs, our church offers an after school program for elementary students. We have the largest scouting troops in the area for girls and boys of all ages. Our outstanding children and youth programs are active with trips, projects, and studies. Our adults participate in travel, sports, music, and countless fellowship opportunities. Our church is a fun place to be almost any day of the week.
However, we also believe in a serious mission. Many of our members travel each year to repair homes for the elderly, supply medical provisions for the sick, and distribute food for the hungry. In our own neighborhood, we serve the needs of our community through numerous projects. Our funds go around the globe touching the lives of people. We believe in the importance of living our lives and giving of ourselves so as to make the world a better place.
